Staying In The Smoky Mountains Hotel vs. Chalet (rental home)

When vacationing these days everyone wants the most for their money.  The most costly part of a vacation is the where you and your loved ones will stay.  There are plenty of hotels with bare minimum furnishings and people in the room right next to you that you don't even know. (Scary).  Well there are alternatives.  One of which is renting a CHALET.  A chalet is a home, log cabin, what have you that is rented by the night.  They range in size and design.  They are real homes that individuals own and rent to the public for a more private and in my opinion safer means of vacationing.  They provide all the amenities of home and the kitchen sink. There are rental programs out there that advertise and rent these chalets to the public.  Most are very reputable.  Some are not.  What I mean by that is the infamous service after the sale.  You can do your own research and I suggest reading guest reviews.  Now there will always be some bad reviews, but if you see a trend in the reviews then you can pretty much read between the lines.
The costs are often times cheaper than hotels or very comparable.  Usually Chalets rent from $89 a night to $1500 a night.  You should be able to a 2 bedroom for around $100 bucks a night.  It will very due to season like any hotel, but why not get the most for your money.
